COLLABORATION
Karim Rashid x Sosomo
Ikona and Likuid are textile editions developed from Karim Rashid’s visual language and crafted by Sosomo in Spain.
Each rug translates graphic form into a wool surface shaped by hand, where contour, density, texture, scale, and finish give the design a physical presence.
Artist Editions
International Design, Handcrafted in Spain
At Sosomo, each edition begins with a creative vision and becomes a tactile work through an exacting handmade process. Wool is shaped by areas of color, contour, and texture, allowing each rug to preserve the strength of the original design while gaining its own presence within an interior.
Ikona
Symbol, Color, and Matter
Ikona brings together five icons from Karim Rashid’s visual universe in a sculptural rug defined by an organic outline, luminous color, and layered composition.
Creating Ikona requires a precise reading of edges, proportions, and overlapping forms. Each area is worked by hand so the image becomes an object: a textile presence shaped to inhabit space through symbol, color, and matter.
Likuid
Color in Motion
Likuid brings a graphic gesture into the physical world through organic forms, bold color, and defined contours translated into wool.
Its complexity lies in precision. Each shape is worked separately to preserve the rhythm of the design, refine the color transitions, and create a vibrant, tactile piece where color is not decoration, but structure.
Constructed by Color
Each tone is integrated as an active part of the composition, with defined edges and a clear relationship between form, background, and visual movement.
Texture and Relief
The surface is not flat. Pile, density, and finish create volume, tactility, and material presence.
Available by Inquiry
The editions may be requested in their original formats or used as the starting point for a tailored adaptation.
From Drawing to Object
The process turns a graphic composition into a textile work with body, scale, and touch. Every decision in the making process — density, edge, height, proportion, and finish — allows the rug to move beyond an applied image and become a physical piece designed to inhabit space.
